Tell me about your business and how you help women?
We help mom’s find the best nanny for their children. We help new mom’s going back to work, stay at home mom’s who have an actively lifestyle and need an extra hand, and celebrity mom’s who have demanding career and lifestyle. We not only find them the best nanny, we also walk them through the process of how to hire the best nanny for their family.
And on the flip side…
We help women, “professional nannies”, find new jobs and fabulous families to work for. It’s a win-win situation!
What tip can you give women regarding starting a business?
One Tip I would give women business owners is follow your passion. Own a business you are passionate about. Money comes and money goes. You want to wake up every day excited to go to work. Most business owners I know work day and night. Yes, we take breaks and go on vacation, but we love what we do and when you love what you do your clients will know. It will show in your services and/or product.
What does being a Financially Wise Woman mean to you?
It means exactly that being “Financially Wise” – Making smart decisions with your money. I’m a super saver. I don’t spend money unless I feel it will help my company grown or it’s something I have to personally have.
In business, the saying “you have to spend money to make money” –I agree- but you have to “spend money” wisely and make smart decision where and what you spend your money on.
What was the best piece of money advice you were taught growing up or learned during your lifetime?
My mom always taught me to look for the best deal and check the sale rack. On weekends I would go through the Sunday newspaper with my grandpa and clip coupons.
I LOVE clipping coupons.
I was thought to be a financially wise women and SAVE at an early age.
What is one of your money values?
I tithe. I give 10% to the church I attend. I have been doing this since I was very little but didn’t understand or see the value until later on in life. I don’t think I would be as successful as I am, or my business would not be where it is at if I did not tithe.
What is your spending vise?
I hate jeans, but if I find a good pair I will buy them, I don’t care how much they cost. And if I could I would be sporty-spice every day wearing tennis shoes and workout gear, so when I find a comfortable pair of heels I don’t care how much they cost…I will buy them. I will spend on COMFORT & CUTE, it has to be the combo.
How do you teach your kids about money?
I have a 4 month old and he already has a saving account. I will teach him the value of a dollar. You don’t always get what you want.
