I grabbed coffee and breakfast with a girl friend of mine that dragged me out to 6am yoga class two mornings ago.
And I realized three things…
ONE - working out when it's still dark outside was a tough sell, but I felt amazing afterward.
TWO - I had ZERO hesitation and picked up the bill because I know when to spend and when to save.
THREE - My friend time is SO precious to me, especially when avocado toast is involved.
What does this have to do with you? I want you to fully have the experience I had when I picked up the bill for breakfast or YOUR version of it.
It’s that moment of anxiety you get a split second before you make a purchase, pick up the bill, say yes to an experience. You think to yourself, “Can I afford this?”
I can relieve that anxiety with a simple formula called the 50-20-30 Rule of Budgeting.
In this episode of Financially Wise TV, I cover how to spend, save, and leave plenty left over for FUN.
FUN can be buying lattes, taking a trip, or making sure your kids have lots of ice cream dates with you. The world is your oyster!
Watch and feel better now…
After you hear the magic formula, I’d love to know…
How are you allocating your money? What area do you struggle in the 50% (fixed), 20% (savings), or 30%(fun)? Leave your answers in a comment below!
Remember, when you share and write it out, that's when your financial life can move and change for the better!
