This may not be the sexiest topic, but it essential to your financial health.
Many of you are aware that I had a medical procedure earlier this year. Well, that made me take an even deeper look at my financial documents “just in case.”
Estate planning involves the will, trusts, beneficiary designations, powers of appointment, property ownership (joint tenancy with rights of survivorship, tenancy in common, tenancy by the entirety), gift, and powers of attorney, specifically the durable financial power of attorney and the durable medical power of attorney.
More sophisticated estate plans may even cover deferring or decreasing estate taxes or business succession.
So while the idea of estate planning isn’t glamorous or fun, much better to get everything in place now to avoid any major headaches later on.
THE BENEFIT: So much peace of mind... and you cannot put a price on that, believe me.
In this week’s episode of Financially Wise TV, I will give you the 3 NEED-TO-KNOW tips of financial protection.
Don’t gloss over this one my friend. You will feel better knowing that you have your documents in order.
After you’ve taken a peek at the video, I want to know your perspective.
Where are you struggling with the estate planning process?
Are you scared to get started? Do you not know who to talk to?
I think we learn best when we talk to one another.
